英語讀書演講1

　　一、 活動(dòng)背景

　　隨著時(shí)代的發(fā)展,民族逐漸融合,“地球村”也越來越小.如何使中國(guó)與國(guó)際社會(huì)進(jìn)行更好的交流,促進(jìn)彼此的發(fā)展,是當(dāng)代中國(guó)大學(xué)生不可推卸的責(zé)任。而英語作為世界上使用最廣泛的語言，在國(guó)際的交流中自然起著至關(guān)重要的作用。所以，英語水平已成為衡量當(dāng)代大學(xué)生素質(zhì)的基本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)之一。因此，本著“全院參與，辦出特色，發(fā)現(xiàn)人才，培養(yǎng)學(xué)習(xí)興趣”的宗旨，英語讀書社舉辦一次面向全校各級(jí)的英語演講比賽，以提高同學(xué)們的英語口語水平，提供一個(gè)可以展現(xiàn)自我，激勵(lì)他人的舞臺(tái)，并且加強(qiáng)在校大學(xué)生的`競(jìng)爭(zhēng)意識(shí)。

　　二、活動(dòng)主題

　　“讀書改變?nèi)松�，學(xué)習(xí)成就未來”（Reading changes life, learning shapes future）

　　三、活動(dòng)目的

　　為了給每位喜愛英語的同學(xué)提供一個(gè)展現(xiàn)自我的平臺(tái)，豐富大家的第二課堂生活并配合學(xué)院關(guān)于第三屆讀書節(jié)活動(dòng)的實(shí)施，同時(shí)充分挖掘個(gè)人的潛能，增強(qiáng)同學(xué)們的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)意識(shí)，提高綜合能力，英語讀書社及外語系團(tuán)總支特此舉行以“讀書改變?nèi)松�，學(xué)習(xí)成就未來"（Reading changes life, learning shapes future）為主題的演講比賽，相信本次活動(dòng)能給大家?guī)�來意外的收獲并能夠終生受用。

　　when i'm free or in trouble, i always take out a book and read quietly. in no time, i've put my heart into it so that i'll forget all the troubles. it's in this way that i've formed the habit of reading in any time.

　　little boys as i was, i was interest in picture books and storybooks. i was struck by them. no sooner had i entered the middle school than i began to read novel, plays, essays and so on. i found i could get much from them. little by little i took great interest in literature and last term i won the first prize in the composition contest among middle-school students in zhe jiang.

　　reading “the emperor's new clothes”, i had to let out a burst of laughter over his fool. “the little match girl” couldn't keep me from crying for her misery. “ robinson crusoe” took me into a strange world full of danger. and i was also deeply impressed by helen keller's patience and perseverance… besides these, books also tell me other thing -how to be a man and how to tell the difference between right and wrong. in a word, good books can make me know what i didn't before. so i think of a good book as my best friend.

　　i'll never forget this famous saying,“ good books are best friends who never turn their backs upon us.”

　　have you ever learned english by watching english dvd movies? is that an effective english learning method for you? why?

　　watching english dvd movies is a very effective method of learning english. i learnt english at college at home. as a natural result of insufficient english speaking environment, my speaking and listening abilities were not developed satisfactorily, although my reading and writing abilities were quite all right. i remember my experience during a summer vacation when i made plans to watch 10 original english movies (i mean those not dubbed.) including the classic casablanca, rebecca, a tale of two cities, and little women.

　　i persistently carried out my plan and each of the films i watched a dozen times until i could recite most of the dialogues. at the end of that summer vacation, i found i became nearly as fluent as a native english speaker.

　　the ways of reading

　　we may obtain knowledge by reading. the more books we read, the more we accumulate the knowledge. is it right? i don’t think so. it’s not wide reading but useful reading that leads to excellence. and only good books can benefit us.

　　so choosing books is very important for reading. many students spend a lot of time reading legends and swordsman novels. it’s a waste of time. some students even read some bad books and it is harmful for them.

　　so be as careful of the books we read, as of the company we keep, for our habit and character will be as much influenced by the former as by the latter.

　　Some people say that reading is not good. Reading is a kind of burden, reading is locked in a tight without ventilation cages, reading as if to accept the devil training, you were dead, reading is very painful, it is the people on the lethal poison. This is just the illiterate, but I think the benefits of reading. I think the book is the ladder of human progress, is the human silent teacher, books are our friends, the book is nutrition of pills, books are food for the soul, the book let us into a heaven, there is a heaven. Reading is a kind of beautiful enjoyment. Reading, let you like into the wonderland, let your life more colorful childhood reading, cultivate your sentiments, relieve fatigue, you forget your trouble, reading is colorful sauces. Rather than call me elapsed time in playing, call me to book the ocean.

　　When I don't understand, I saw a book like hell, but as time goes by, I grow up, I know what is the real enjoyment, I learned to enjoy the pleasure of reading.

　　有人說，讀書沒有什么好處。讀書是一種負(fù)擔(dān)，讀書時(shí)猶如把自己關(guān)在一個(gè)密不通風(fēng)的籠子里，讀書仿佛在接受魔鬼訓(xùn)練一般，使你生不如死，讀書是多么痛苦，它是致人于死命的毒藥。這只是那些文盲的看法，我卻覺得讀書的好處多多。我認(rèn)為書是人類進(jìn)步的階梯，書是人類無聲的老師，書是我們的知心好友，書是營(yíng)養(yǎng)的藥丸，書是精神食糧，書讓我們走進(jìn)了一個(gè)極樂世界，那里簡(jiǎn)直是天堂。讀書是一種美的享受。讀書，讓你像走進(jìn)了仙境一樣，讀書讓你的'童年生活更加富有色彩，讀書陶冶了你的情操，減輕了你的疲勞，忘掉了你的煩惱，讀書是五彩的調(diào)味料。與其叫我在玩中消耗時(shí)間，不如叫我到書的海洋中遨游。

　　在我不懂事之時(shí)，我見書如見鬼，可隨著時(shí)間的流逝，我長(zhǎng)大了，我知道什么是真正的享受，我學(xué)會(huì)了享受讀書的樂趣。

　　讀書破萬卷，下筆如有神。讀書不僅可以享受樂趣，而且對(duì)你有很大的幫助。書讀多了，寫起文章來，也會(huì)如行云流水一般，說起話來也文彬彬的，不是很好嗎?

　　讀書讓我增添了許多樂趣，我也學(xué)會(huì)了享受讀書的樂趣。在我童年的金色屋中，永遠(yuǎn)都存在著兩個(gè)字“讀書”。只有先學(xué)會(huì)讀書，才懂得享受讀書的樂趣。只有讀書，你的生活才有意義，你的人生才會(huì)綻放出光芒，你也才不會(huì)虛度此生!

　　Learning english can be a very difficult task for most people, this is because we dont live in a environment where we are forced to speak or write english. so i think the best way to learn english is by communicating with others using the lagnguage itself and not just learn from the book. Im sure if you live in an environment such as a foreign country and were forced to speak and write english everyday then your english will imprve dramatically.

　　Although we must agree that we need to read and write english from the book in order to get the foundations that we need for basic communication, this is essential but as i said, this is only a foundation, what you develop afterwards all depends on your ability to adapt to an environment and your courage.

　　對(duì)大多數(shù)人來說，學(xué)習(xí)英語是一項(xiàng)非常困難的任務(wù)，這是因?yàn)槲覀儾簧�活在被迫說或?qū)懹⒄Z的環(huán)境中。所以我認(rèn)為學(xué)習(xí)英語最好的方法是通過使用語言本身而不是別人交流從書中學(xué)習(xí)。我相信如果你生活在一個(gè)環(huán)境如國(guó)外，被迫說，寫英語你的英語將成績(jī)顯著。

　　雖然我們必須同意，我們需要從書中讀和寫英語，以便獲得基本交流所需要的'基礎(chǔ)，這是必要的，但正如我所說，這只是一個(gè)基礎(chǔ)，你以后的發(fā)展都取決于你適應(yīng)環(huán)境和勇氣的能力。

Yes, books can cultivate people's sentiment, it can make us relax and breathe the fresh air. I think, love is never wrong, books can make us get rid of a lot of bad habits. It's good to read!
